An Artistic and Research Study of Ahmed Faraz's Ghazal Poetry

Abstract

In this article, Ahmed Faraz's Ghazal poetry has been discussed. Ahmed Faraz is basically a Ghazal poet. In his poetry Neo-classical and romantic colors are prominent. The analytical and artistic study of Ahmed Faraz’s poetry actually reveals that the enchantment and charm remains to be the same right from his first collection of poetry (Tanha Tahana) to his last collection of poetry (E Ishq-e-Janoon Pesha). His Ghazals are adorned with the fragrance of Persian and Urdu. His Ghazals are filled with all the idiosyncrasies. He gave such beautiful and remarkable lyrics to Urdu Ghazals. Urdu language undoubtedly be proud of the fact to have such a unique ghazal poet like Faraz.
